What We Collect
When you use The Kitchen Sink, we collect:
- Uploaded documents: The debt collection letter you upload (image or PDF). This is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for text extraction and is stored in our database.
- Extracted data: Collector name, address, debt amount, account number, and other fields parsed from the letter.
- Your information: Name and mailing address you provide for the return address on your dispute letter.
- Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Generated letters: The dispute letter we generate and mail on your behalf.
How We Use It
- To extract information from the uploaded collection letter.
- To generate your dispute letter using AI (Anthropic Claude).
- To mail your letter via USPS Certified Mail through our mailing provider (Docupost).
- To process your $29 payment through Stripe.
- To provide you with mailing confirmation and tracking information.
Third-Party Services
We share data with the following services solely to deliver the product:
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Your uploaded document and extracted data are sent to Anthropic to generate the dispute letter. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Handles payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Docupost: Receives your letter PDF and mailing addresses to print and mail via USPS.
- Supabase: Cloud database and file storage.
Data Retention
We retain your uploaded documents, generated letters, and session data for at least 3 years. You may need these records as evidence if you pursue an FDCPA claim. If you want your data deleted sooner, email us.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies required for the site to function (session tracking). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA.
